Treaty on Open Skies

of little known fame, the Treaty on Open Skies went into effect this week. Ah glorious bastion of the departed, sweet cold war, wherefore art thou gone? Right here! yes, after almost 50 years since the idea sprang from Eisenhowers lips, groups of nations can now surveill each other and share their surveillance data. Thanks in part to the Elder Bush, NATO, and the Warsaw Pact, Slovenia can now fly over the US and surveil us to its hearts content.. as long as they share the data with us. In response, we can now fly over Slovenia and report back on our findings. If diplomacy fails to promote international love sharing, we can now all fall back on just keeping an eye on each other from the sky. Groovy.
