Depending on the owners a). moral conviction or b). depth of governance by VC or committee, you can get a varied outcome that ranges from technological implementation and political will to maintain privacy, to pure public rhetoric backed up by a complete private circumvention of consumer (or, citizen,) protections. It does not affect communications where all parties are using standard Skype software. Skype-to-Skype communications are, and always have been, completely secure and private.
