Quetta Earthquake hits Pakistan
Wed., Oct. 29: A shallow earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale hit southwestern Pakistan Baluchistan Province between 4:30 a.m. and 5:10 a.m., centered around the Baluchistan provincial capital Quetta, and about 115 miles southe east of Kandahar, Afghanistan. There is widespread destruction being reported, officials said. At least 150 people were killed and hundreds were injured, according to initial reports.
